We’re an MVP focused on the basics. We only collect what’s needed to run the app and keep it safe. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

What we collect

• Account — name, username, and contact info you provide.
• Content — photos, stories, videos, and messages you create or send.
• Usage & device — basic logs (app version, device type, IP) to prevent abuse and improve reliability.
• Location (optional) — only if you enable features that need it.
• Facial Geometry Data (TrueDepth API) — Collected only if you use our 3D effects/filters. This data is processed **locally and in real-time** for the feature to function and is **not stored or shared**.

How we use it

• Provide core features (feed, stories, messaging) and keep them reliable.
• Protect the community (security, spam and abuse prevention, legal compliance).
• Understand what works in the app and fix issues.
• Facial Geometry Data is used **only** to enable 3D effects/filters. It is not used for user identification, tracking, or marketing.

What we don’t do

• We don’t sell your personal data.
• We don’t track you across other apps/sites.

Sharing

We share information with service providers who help us run MeroCircle (e.g., hosting, storage, analytics, payments). They must follow strict confidentiality and security obligations. We may also share information if required by law or to protect safety.

Ads & monetization

Not launched yet. If we introduce ads or creator earnings later, we’ll update this page and add in-app controls.

Data retention

We keep data only as long as necessary to provide the service or as required by law, then delete or anonymize it.
